Last Chance Escape Games- Game Master (Part-Time)

Reports To: LCEG Shift Manager                                FLSA: Non-exempt (hourly)


This position performs responsible customer service work, ensures the smooth operation of Escape Room games, and provides for an overall positive customer experience.


Essential Job Functions:

Must be able to perform the following essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation:

  • Provide excellent and responsive customer service to individuals and groups, in person or on the phone

  • Process customer reservations in person, on the phone or via email

  • Check customers in ensuring reservations and waivers are fully complete

  • Accurately process and account for customer payments electronically or via cash

  • Use applicable computer programs including the reservations system, escape game monitoring systems, discount redemptions, and general office programs including email and word processing

  • Set up and reset the escape rooms for each customer groups use according to specified instructions and within a timely manner; help other employees with their resets when possible

  • Ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of the office, including sweeping, mopping and/or vacuuming the common spaces or escape rooms; removing trash; cleaning up any spills or broken items; and restocking restroom and office supplies as needed

  • Use appropriate problem solving skills to address customer concerns or inquiries or to resolve issues with customer games to create a seamless guest experience

  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with customers, employees, and the public

  • Identify props or fixtures that are broken, worn, or otherwise needing repair and attention as soon as possible

  • If applicable, make small repairs or adjustments to props and systems as soon as possible to ensure games run smoothly and/or notify the manager of any props or systems not easily repairable

  • Keep the manager and/or owners informed about significant events, including major game problems or repairs, especially if they could impact health or safety or negatively impact customer experience

  • Perform the physical requirements of resetting game rooms following sessions, including reaching, light lifting (up to 5-10 lbs)

  • Must be able to legally work in the United States 

  • Perform other related duties as assigned



Any combination of qualifications demonstrating candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities will be considered:

  • At least one year of relevant customer service, administrative or operational employment experience

  • General working knowledge of computer systems and web-based programs and applications and ability to learn basic programs within a short period of time

  • Prior experience working with point-of-sale programs or cash-handling is helpful
